Apple iPod Nano Chromatic

Not having used an iPod prior to this is a good thing,blu ray burner have been out for how long now? as it gave me a more neutral perspective when MP3 players are concerned. Having to hear many people say "nothing can be better than an iPod" however, certainly makes you wonder if it's plain bias, brand loyalty, or if iPods are really as good as they make it out to be. Well, this wouldn't be a comparison if we left out Apple's iPod so here we have the iPod Nano Chromatic for our review.

Being of the 4th generation, the iPod Nano has certainly undergone enough change that does make it really tempting, to upgrade to. For starters, it now comes with 2 versions with storage sizes of 8GB and 16GB; this is double that of 3rd generation iPod Nano. The new iPod Nano Chromatic as it is named is also slimmer than its predecessor and it has a slightly curved design to the body. Testament to the "chromatic" in its name, the iPod Nano Chromatic is sold in 9 different colors.

Having never tested any other iPod prior to the chromatic, I can't really comment on the difference in the interface but the Wii-like features are definitely new to the Chromatic. In terms of audio quality, perhaps I shouldn't have doubted that iPods always deliver. Well I didn't know why so many people say good things about iPods until I personally tested the Chromatic for myself. The result? Absolutely impressed with the detail and quality that the Chromatic can output. Not only is the treble great but the bass is also excellent. My opinion is: once you have tried an iPod, you probably won't ever want to use any other MP3 player.
